Xtreme Quarantine Letter

Dear Xtreme Team Families,                                                                                           10.28.2020

In the event that you are contact traced or quarantined, you may wonder what this means for you as a parent or a student. Here is a help sheet to support you to stay current in your studies as you complete your school work from home each day of your absence. This way, when you return, you are ready to join us with the current day’s lesson.

When work is complete, there are three options for you to turn in your school work:

  1. 1. Have your parent/guardian drop your assignment(s) off at the office.
  2. 2. Create a Google Doc in your school Google Drive account and complete the assignment(s). Make sure to include a heading. Then click on the "share" tab to share it with us.
  3. 3. If the above options are not possible, you can turn the assignment(s) in to us when you return to school.

NOTE: Photos of work will not be accepted for grading for English. See options above for submitting make up work properly.

Provide homework, learner objective, Google Classroom codes, and contact information on Planbook.

Provide detailed lesson plans and copies of any materials needed on Google Classroom.

Check email for student questions and concerns, when possible, during the day.

Open Google Classroom (for each teacher) to find bell ringers, detailed lesson plans, and any attachments needed to successfully complete the daily lesson.

Communicate through email any questions or concerns that you may have in regards to the daily lesson.

Prioritize your time and find a safe, quiet place for you to successfully complete your schoolwork. Expect a minimum of 30 to 45 minutes per class (subject).

Helpful hints and reminders:

Check Planbook to verify all lessons and homework that should be completed upon return.

Have your child show you the Google Classroom (for each class) to understand each teacher’s daily expectations.

Communicate through email any questions or concerns that you may have in regards to the daily lesson.

Provide time and  a safe, quiet place for your child to successfully complete schoolwork. Expect your child to be working/reading lessons a minimum of 2-4 hours (a regular school day consists of approximately 7 hours)
